These belts are manufactured in cotton cloth, polyester, and paper supports. Those made of cotton cloth support are divided into three different grades: Flexible, semi-flexible, and rigid.

The abrasive used on these belts can be silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, zirconium, ceramics, and Hermesid (special).
