Wire drawing and additional operations

Cold deformation consisting in the deformation by stretching of a metallic profile. The ratio between the shape before and after the stretching determines the strength, as well as the lubricant and the coolant required.

Deep drawing
Cold deformation process for metal through which a given cut part is transformed into a hollow part according to a pattern defined on a matrix or deep drawing mould, used to such an end, through a pressure exerted by an hydraulic press.

Hobbing
Cold deformation process for metal through which a draft or a relief is engraved according to a pattern defined on a matrix, used to such an end, through a pressure exerted by an hydraulic press.

Die cutting embossing (fine cut)
It consists in obtaining parts from a sheet through shearing between the wire tool and the matrix whose pattern corresponds to the part’s shape desired.

Sintered
Sintered is a thermal treatment of a metallic compacted at a lower temperature than the mixture fusion one, to enhance the strength and resistance of the part treated, building up strong bondings between the particles.
